Easter and Zombies

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
- Ephesians 2:4-7

When I was thinking the other day about American culture's odd obsession with zombies, it struck me that many Christians act like zombies.  We may technically be alive in Christ, but we sure don't act like it!

Instead, we're living as if we are only undead.  But the truth of the matter is, if we have accepted God's forgiveness, then we are given resurrection right alongside Christ!  Our lives should reflect that fact.

This Easter, let's allow this celebratory day to prompt us to live not as undead Christians, but live with life in  our veins - walking with God every second of every day, instead of just shuffling our feet through life.

We have so much to live for - because OUR SAVIOR LIVES!!!
